The HYDRA expansion mandrel is adapted directly to the machine spindle via a short taper interface. In this application, actuation takes place via the tailstock/tailstock center of the machine. This has the positive effect that the expansion mandrel is additionally supported by the tailstock. The thin-walled component is constantly and evenly clamped in the bore. This allows the highest shape and position tolerances to be achieved.
- Actuation by the tailstock of the machine
- Flanged mount
- High concentricity and repeatability
- Evenly dosed and low-deformation clamping
- 360° tension - over the entire length
- Insensitive to dirt
